#week32: Preggosaurus X
Geschreven door Tiany Kiriloff
Still 8 weeks to go, although I feel as if I were ready to pop any minute now… I’ve been suffering a bit lately, probably due to the insane heat wave that hit our country.
Still 8 weeks to go, although I feel as if I were ready to pop any minute now… I’ve been suffering a bit lately, probably due to the insane heat wave that hit our country. Truth is that I have become pretty much immobile. I honestly feel like a granny and this is, according to me, not totally normal at only 32 weeks. Last weekend I tried a bike ride and about half a km through it I had to bail out as I was no longer even capable of cycling on an electrical bike… How pathetic is that?!
I have troubles breathing as baby dear keeps on taking up more space in my tummy and limiting my lung capacity. I have become short of breath and sound pretty much like an asthmatic old dog. Even sitting at my desk in an attempt to blog about all this has become a tough job!
Sorry for being such a whiner, but I never thought this third pregnancy would have me feeling so clueless and paralyzed! It’s insane and I feel kind of guilty about it: I mean my colleagues see me waddle around and feel probably very sorry for me, my husband has had to exchange his otherwise so energetic wife for an extremely unsexy Preggorosaurus X that suffers from severe mood swings and my kids are continuously concerned about my well-being, which is cute but makes me feel even more handicapped now.
It drives me a bit crazy that my body is no longer capable of indulging into the outrageous will of my beloved brains. My brain seems to still be wandering around the world, partying around and celebrating the return of festival season… MEH! So not! Little reality flash, just have a look at my snapchat… even an opossum leads a more dynamic life!
On the very positive side, there’s still fashion, which seems to still be doing the trick for me. Over the past few weeks, I’ve bought more shoes than ever before in my entire life. I’ve been also treating my girls to more clothes than they are even capable of wearing, the little tummy inhabitant is by now the owner of a serious white/mouse grey collection of rompers & co and I’m already making mental wish lists of the FW collections that are about to hit store. I’ve even had cravings of buying this and that for the post birth Kirilove… As if I even know what my body will look like after what is still to come.
Anyway, I’ve been treating myself to more maternity wear, kaftans and stretchable dresses than I had in mind… I’m even interested in maternity lingerie and nursing bra’s. Yes I know, these are real essentials! But not entirely my cup of tea and unfortunately not entirely sexy either!
I’ve had the greatest of troubles finding funky pants that will embrace my belly. The search for cool leather leggings that match with everything, has been in vain. Until now, as Fragile decided it was time for some funky maternity leather pants! Amen for that.
I’m also totally smitten with their “Baby is the new black” jumper, which according to me brings the fun into fashion. ALWAYS add a dash of humor, specially when feeling too preggers for words and non attractive at all, just please either dress like a star or add some fun to everything that you decide to wear. Trust me, it will make accepting your enlarging reflection a tad bit more bearable.
