My life at the studio
Geschreven door Doriane van Overeem
Behind a kiwi tree, you will find my little studio where we work all together with my interns in fashion design and in business & communication.
In my inspiration, you'll find stuff that I always cherished because they are from my childhood, or just weird, or just icons who inspired me and made the person I am today:
« I would be a much better person if I was constantly slightly drunk » with Patsy from Absolutely Fabulous, Tank Girl from the comic strip of Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett, mermaids, L7 riot grrrl band, Wednesday from the Adams Family, Fernand Khnopff and Alfons Mucha paintings among many things!
Without my interns, there would be no brand, they are so motivated and curious to learn that nothing would be possible if they weren't there. I'm so grateful to be able to trust them and ask their opinion on decisions I have to take. We always discuss the process to develop the brand, who the key people to contact are or the right strategy to adopt with the low budget we have. It's exciting to see that we can learn so much from each other, as I don't have any business or marketing background and they don't have any skills in fashion, it's a great exchange !
Lately, we also launched our own e-shop and really made a study to pick to best way to do it, our little baby is finally born and we're still working on ways to talk about it:
