Big infinity - Small infinity - Diamonds slices
Geschreven door Céline D'Aoust
What we love in the stones we work with is the perfection of the imperfection. For us Life is not something straight or without turns and experiences. We all have scratches.
For the stones it is the same. An inclusion is something that would happen due to pressure, air, water, heat … in the youth and process of the stone. To us these inclusions are very interesting and make each stone completely unique.
In Diamonds we can also find very unique pieces. The regular and well-known cut for the diamond is the brilliant cut ( 56-58 facets, round, oval, heart marquize… ). We use this brilliant cut in small sizes to make « pavé « but we mostly love to use Slices, rough or rosecut diamonds.
The most rare and expensive diamonds are the white ones with perfect clarity, perfect color and perfect cutting. Apart from these you can find champagne, grey, black colours, but also a mix of all these colours that makes them all unique and one of a kind pieces.
These diamonds look like Slices of the Universe. A few years ago we participated in Parcours Modo ( ex Modo Bruxellae ) and had an exhibition putting the Bing and the small infinity together. I’m including a picture here of the Universe and a macro picture of Diamonds slices we use in our jewellery.
The Stones tell the story of the Earth and of the Universe.
