I have no rules what so ever when it comes to mixing & matching structures and if you were to ask my humble opinion… I’d say all things go as long as you feel confident about it!
For instance this military jacket trimmed with feathers just had to be mine (like the 4 other military jackets in my closet that are mine for a very specific reason, something hubby dear does not seem to understand). I love the duality there is to it and the fact it perfectly merges the delicacy of feathers with the rugged aspect of military green.
Duality is basically what makes me happy in fashion, interior decoration, food, hell yeah… in life! I like it when opposites meet and blend into something beautiful, when ultra feminine and sturdy collide. According to me this mostly results in something powerful or let’s see it as less conventional and thus more interesting.
I adore playing with structures, patterns, labels, era’s and styles just for the sake of exploring the possibilities it has to offer. This is probably the remnant of my multi-cultural roots and life.
