Let’s be honest, there’s something totally irresistible about beige. It’s sophisticated, feminine, elegant and transcends so many trends & seasons.
Over the years beige has become –along with every possible hue of blue- one of my favorite colors; not only because it’s so versatile and combinable with black, white, orange and blue … but also because it is the perfect canvas to beautiful accessories that stand out and that do the talking on their very own.
In other words, just what I needed to assort with the beautiful Petite Malle bag (wishlisted ever since Nicolas launched it) and the khaki Louis Vuitton pumps that the French luxury brand had sent for me to wear during their FW2015 show back in March, when the tummy was not yet visible.
Obviously, all these very desirable Louis Vuitton goodies were neatly returned back to sender, much against my will as you can guess, but hey ... at least I was lucky enough to own them for a day.
When it comes to monochrome dressing I tend to mix up textures as in my humble fashion opinion mixing materials brings a certain edge to whatever outfit you may be wearing.
Wool & leather were this time around my partners in fashion crime and of course the obligate turtleneck, according to me the ultimate must-have for next season and one of the items I wore on repeat past winter.
