In the article "Eddy Anemian: new king of couture" you could read that the up and coming fashion designer Eddy Anemian is the winner of this year’s H&M Design Award. I already posted an outfit from his capsule collection for the clothing giant H&M, but I also wanted to show you this beautiful ensemble. The clothes are too gorgeous not to share, don’t you agree?
In the pictures I’m wearing a yellow full- length floral skirt, which is the crown piece of the outfit, and was constructed from vertical strips. To avoid overpowering of the outfit I’m wearing a black heavy twill top. With this skirt Anemian has translated his couture cutting and sewing techniques to a wider audience. The skirt has an interesting shape and texture and I’m attracted to the exceptional graphic, floral prints.
Anemian cut up floral fabric from the ‘80’s and recomposed it to make a new texturized striped material. The voluminous yardage of the skirt evokes a dramatic and flamboyant effect. Although the skirt is unsurprisingly wearable, I combined the skirt with a black heavyweight tee to provide some contrast. A voluminous silhouette with unexpected proportions is the result.
I really think the skirt creates a flattering line for every body shape. In this outfit it almost feels like wearing haute couture. There is no doubt, folks, Anemian has an amazing hand for craftsmanship.
