There’s no way of hiding my affection for Stella McCartney’s to-die-for attire and lucky me Smets in Brussels stocks quit a great deal of her creations… I know her frocks tend to come with a price tag, but I just love her entire philosophy of creating garments that transcend seasons and that are ethically properly made. Besides that, she’s also a dedicated mommy working in fashion and in dreams; I sometimes tend to believe I’m kind of like her… but then again who wouldn’t wanna be best buddies with the likes of Cara Delevigne and Madonna?
Also Introducing my love for Belgian brand Delvaux and their fabulous X-Ray Brillant. A limited edition PVC version of the very iconic Brillant bag, originally conceived in 1958. I think the Delvaux addiction started about 12 years ago whilst working at a TV station called JIM, where I hosted my own fashion show… I bumped into Delvaux and immediately fell in love. The rest is history as I’ve been collecting their bags ever since.
I found this Delvaux store in an Ostend shopping street. The shop is 150 years old and the last 13 years they sell only Delvaux.
