True story: I’ve visited Paris more times than I can recall on a numerous amount of press trips.
Fact: I love this city and despite my love for it I never seem to manage to explore enough of it, press trips and fashion weeks are after all truckloads of work.
So yes, I was very delighted to once more receive an invite to the city of lights and this time it was Belgian/French bag designer Clio Goldbrenner taking me on an off-the-beaten-track-trip to Paris. Not only to celebrate her amazing pop-up corner at Galeries Lafayette but also to experience Paris the Clio way… and I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised as cruising through my beloved city of fashion in a deux chevaux was quite an experience!
Besides talking bags and the amazing job she has managed to achieve with her eponymous brand the past few years, we also discussed places to be, as Clio was born and partly raised in Paris and still visits the city of lights on a monthly base.
The Foody Clio
*Café Etienne Marcel (owned by The Costes group) always a great place to hang out and have a lovely lunch.
*Coffee Parisien in Saint-Germain-des-Près, which is truly the best place to be if you want to eat delicious burgers.
*Miss K? is Clio’s favorite spot for good sushi and a delightful and really cozy place to dine.
*Restaurant Le Schmuck, which Clio adores for its poshy and quirky interior, is situated on the left bank and is just too cute not to visit.

The Shop-a-holic Clio
*Franck & Fils is a beautiful multi-brand shop selling a selection of amazing brands in a very luxurious décor, really a must-see shop when in Paris.
*April May is Clio’s favorite Parisian brand combining the laid back chic Parisian style with a touch of rock n’ roll. The clothes are really comfy but très cool at the same time.
*Baby Buddha is probably the most amazing little shop in Paris selling truckloads of to-die-for accessories (including the Clio bags) and cutting edge jewelry by designers such as Jacquie Aiche.
Clio was born in the Rue Sevigné, which is situated in Le Marais. That makes Le Marais her favorite place to be on a Sunday. It’s like a little village with all these cute little shops and lovely little streets in which you can stroll around for hours.
When talking hotels, Clio adores Hotel Amour, which is according to her super romantic and cozy all the way. Each and every room is decorated totally different and the Amour restaurant is probably the hippest place to brunch with your family on a Sunday.
During the fashion weeks, her favorite place to be is Hidden Hotel, which is beautifully decorated and well situated nearby the Arc de Triomphe.
