Kirilove on Shorts or do we say Skorts?

Door Tiany op 07.07.2013

I’m no longer 3 x 7 and my legs are far from Büdchen material, but we live in a free country and I’ve been working my booty off with all these “get great legs & a gorgeous beach bum in 10 minutes” tutorials (seeing no results though), so I felt I was entitled to bare some leg even after solemnly have promised myself to never ever do shorts again.

Guess I’m a girl of my generation, totally hooked on the next big trend that will hit the fan… so when Spanish Fashion mogul Zara presented the ingeniously origami folded short meets mini skirt breed, I slavishly -like many other fellow bloggers- became a follower of the “skort” trend. Maybe nostalgia got a hold of me, as believe it or not these so-called ‘skorts’ were a big hit back in the 90’s… yes I’ve been around for that long!

‘Skorts’ may still be frightening short, but they’re just too practical to leave untouched and if you bring on the self tanners and have your legs looking all caramel brown, you’ll do just fine as tanned legs create the optical illusion of slimmer legs – really try it at home and thank me for it later!

I’m currently also obsessed about Dutch brand called Zoe Karssen. It’s basically just the perfect T-shirt and little sweater. The textures are soft, the fit & cut of the models are outstanding and there’s this edginess to it that makes it the ideal basic. I’ve always been very fond of basics and these babies are just indispensible in your wardrobe.

WEARING: Zara skorts, Zoe Karssen little black sweater, Wouters & Hendrix necklace & earrings, Givenchy Vans via Paul Warmer, Gil Tote by Gilbert Halaby, Karen Walker glasses
