Let me introduce you to my new Ganni Flat Forms: they are not only admirable but also functional and comfortable!
I’m not expecting anyone to ever understand the choices I make when it comes to shoes, nor do I longer hope or believe that I can please my friends and family with my peculiar taste in footwear… So having given up on that vain hope I feel liberated and no longer obliged to even justify the soles that I’ve chosen to strut on.
So no! The quizzical look on the face of my beloved friend E did not come as a surprise, nor did her sweet insults towards my newly acquired Ganni flat forms. Even though we share a mutual love for all things vintage, bags and accessories, I know she tends to dislike a small selection of my footgear – she also hates my ballerinas, which I’m delighted to finally have managed to get my hands on.
However, I keep insisting that these Ganni flats are besides admirable also functional, comfortable and that they elevate me, making me at least 7cms taller. Combine this with high-waist trousers and you are bound to be the new owner of never ending legs, something I aspire, as I was not in line when long and poised limbs were being handed out.
