I put up with the wind and rain on day 1 of Paris Fashion Week in silver plissé and my beloved Dries Van Noten blazer. Welcome to Paris!
Another week, another city… The last of Fashion Weeks has started and the excitement is on, as besides having the shows of all great Belgian designers - yes Dries Van Noten I love you so - Paris is also the city of Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton.
Weather, however has gone banana’s. We’ve had sun, rain, thunder and even snow on my very first day of Parigi. Totally insane and despite my extended amount of luggage (I kid you not, two pieces of luggage have travelled with me) I have nothing that is good enough to protect me from the coo coo crazy weather conditions.
3 shows and the amazing event of the H&M studio collection were on my schedule the very first day. I started of with Cedric Charlier and a his very feminine take on minimalism, then moved on to my favorite Mr Dries Van Noten, who showcased a collection filled with animalistic prints with truckloads of faux fur.
There were tuxedo’s and robe de chambre inspired overcoats. As usual there was embellishment including feathers, sequins and pearls in ways that can only be done by Dries. Needless to say that I have once more wish-listed the entire collection and that I can’t wait to get my hands on all that faux fur.
Concerning my own styling on this very first day, I decided to go for silver plissé and this oversized Dries blazer which I totally adore because of it’s masculine touch to all things girly.
