I’ve always been pretty active. I ran track and field in high school and have regularly frequented the gym thereafter.
I elevated my fitness regimen most recently when I started to collaborate with Nike while working at Grazia.it. The fitness and lifestyle brand is doing an incredible job encouraging women from all walks of life to become more active or to up their already existing fitness game.
That’s exactly what it’s done for me as the group has facilitated my participation in a half-marathon, two 10Ks and various fitness events around the world, as well as introducing me to inspiring world class trainers and athletes like Marie Purvis, Holly Rilinger, Johnson Thompson Rule, Christopher Gaube and Knox Robinson.
My involvement with Nike has influenced my personal training schedule. While training for the San Francisco half-marathon, I learned the benefits of varying my workouts to enhance my overall performance. I’ve thankfully maintained that schedule and currently rotate between running, circuit training, pilates and yoga.
I even manage to maintain my training when abroad. Some great advice that I received from a Nike team member was to always pack your training gear. Because, once you have your kit with you, you can always find ways to be active.
