Tiany Kiriloff showt haar favoriete mantel van Sportmax in de straten van Parijs.
Sometimes all you need is a great coat and - while you’re at it - perhaps some absolutely fabulous shoes, the type you put on your bookshelves along with your collection of art books and vintage vases. The type that I seem to collect as I find myself having truckloads of shoes that I just admire and don’t really dare to wear…
There’s something about winter layers that I adore! I love the variety of coats, the structures, the richness of materials and the toned down hues that fall/winter collections bring along. Honestly, I won’t mind when the days start getting colder and especially not after the hot summer that I barely survived in a pregnant and thus voluminous state, those were tough days indeed!
When it comes to coats, my advice is… buy quality, timeless and chic pieces and built up a collection of coats, jackets, perfecto’s and capes that will last you a lifetime. Try to invest in good coats during sales periods and always opt for colors that will transcend trends; think blue, grey, beige, black and burgundy.
If you’re into prints, keep it classy like this extra large check pattern coat by Sportmax and when it comes to materials, I must admit it’s always safe to go for evergreens, but every now and then you should distinguish yourself from the common and therefor opt for something a bit more outstanding…I mean, you only live once right? So be audacious every once in a while!
