I never thought I would be giving into any sort of cat addiction what so ever, as I’m not entirely your cat type of girl.
I’m more into cute fluffy dogs or the clumsy huge ones that don’t even bother to look up when you stumble over their paws.
But being a die-hard fashionista means that you sometimes just have to sacrifice certain ideals and adapt to the dictated fashion rules. I’m guessing nothing will stop me from adding a feline touch to my fall/winter wardrobe, even if that means dealing with a horrendous cat allergy or a serious case of cat phobia.
So bear with me… because what’s a fashion girl to do when Stella dedicates an entire piece of her collection to cats, resulting in tops and skirts adorned with the ‘purring’ furry creature? Or how to ignore a trend when Karl Lagerfeld bombards the cat emoticon to the new print to have and what to do when J.W Anderson sends his models up the Loewe runway with cute cat head figurines around their necks?
How can one refuse to not become a loyalist of the #catstagram community when even my beloved Alessandro flaunts with cats all over the most divine colourful jumpers? To not convert is just not an option, I guess…
I can already see the cheerful grin on the face of my dear colleague Koen as he claims he launched the hype light years ago with his out of this world cat printed sweaters. I however am reluctant to believe that his psychedelic kittens motivated Karl and co to crown cats as the mammal of fashion choice.
