Hurray for MoMu!! Bon annif au MoMu!! Auguri per MoMu!!
It's the 10th anniversary of our museum today and we gloriously celebrated it with a day of free entrance to the Mme Grès exhibition!
We got some beautiful wishes from many designers and collaborators from over the years: Stephen Jones, Maison Martin Margiela, Bernhard Willhelm and A.F. Vandevorst all sent their beautiful birthday wishes.
Here's my favourite of the whole series which you can find on the MoMu blog:
Yohji Yamamoto's charcoal drawing brings a very serene feeling of happiness to MoMu, thank you sir!
I'm still in London going to lectures about the Antwerp Six and fashion film, but I'll hurry back home soon in order not to miss the MoMu birthday party and book presentation.
Yes, we made a small publication with an overview of the exhibitions, artists, designers and projects this far. It's been an exciting 10 years and I'm sure there's many years ahead of us. Can't wait, really.
Oh, tonight there's also the opening party at RA from my friend Javier Barcala's project: High fashion, Low Countries, which shows amazing cutting edge sustainable silhouettes by Belgian and Dutch talents.
If you're in town, pass by for the party or come and watch in the next 2 weeks.
Lastly, I want to thank all Belmodo.tv fans and MoMu visitors for their enthusiasm: You are the fuel that keeps our engines running!
