Let me take you along on a trip through my bathroom to discover my beauty essentials.
Being an editor, I regularly have to test new products before they become available in stores, a real privilege! My bathroom thus contains a large number of perfumes.
The majority of the perfumes I wear on a daily basis are the ones I discovered during an appointment with their founder. The best perfume match I ever had, happened during an interview with Serge Lutens. It was a true revelation. I think I had never worn Lutens’ perfume L’Incendiaire if we had never met. Now I feel like it completely suits me and I have been wearing it during Winter ever since.
Same story for the Hermès perfumes. I adore the ones by Jean-Claude Ellena but I also like the latest eau-de-cologne Eau de Rhubarbe Ecarlate invented by their brandnew ‘nose’ Christine Nagel.
For Her L’Absolu by Narciso Rodriguez is a perfume I like to wear when I’m in a rather sad mood, while Super Cedar by Byredo is my latest personal favourite.
I don’t often use make-up. Some blush, mascara and lipstick will do on an evening out.
On the contrary, I love to test creams. At this very moment, I’m interchanging a cure by Delbôve, their famous Sorcières duo and a cure by Aesop including the Concentré Visage Radieux with vitamine C. I adore their packaging, odour and texture.
When I take some time off during the holidays, I only wear La Solution 10 by Chanel, a multifunctional cream for sensitive skin. I always take a tube Homeoplasmine with me as well.
My favourite beauty places in Brussels
- For a beauty treatment, I recommend 404, a Beauty & Wellness Center managed by Joanna, a real expert.
- For a hair treatment, Adrien Coelho is the place to be.
- If you would like a massage, Oriental Therapy is the best spot in town.
